Golf tournament to benefit muscular dystrophy | Events

Local 2059 Firefighters Union is hosting a charity golf tournament to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association of New Mexico’s "Fill the Boot" campaign.

The tournament will be played Monday, Aug. 6 at the Santa Fe Country Club golf course. The tournament will begin with a 10 a.m. shotgun start in a 4-man scramble format. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places as well as longest drive and closest to the pin. There will be a charity raffle and lunch following the round. The entry fee is $100 per player and $400 per team and will cover 18 holes of golf, cart and lunch.

All proceeds will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association of New Mexico. Funds will help send children in New Mexico to summer camp where they can enjoy a barrier free week of fun, friendship and laughter. Funds will also help with specialized medical care, equipment and research.
